James Herr



James is an experienced litigator having represented clients in criminal jury trials, involuntary treatment hearings, and criminal motion hearings in both King and Snohomish Counties. His courtroom experience is also complimented by extensive research and writing skills, having drafted proposed opinions and orders for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, assisted professors as a Research Assistant, and worked as the Executive Production Editor for the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. He represents individuals charged with crimes, as well as individuals who have been involuntarily committed to mental health hospitals under RCW 71.05 or RCW 71.34.

James grew up in Wyoming, and lived in the Netherlands, England, South Korea, and Michigan before coming to the Pacific Northwest. James graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, in 2015, and from the University of Wyoming in 2009, with a B.A. in History and Anthropology.
